Yoga in education

Sources suggest that young people are facing more stress than ever before, which is why school leadership now has to commit to addressing social and emotional wellbeing within improvement plans.

Yoga is a mind and body-based practice that can be used to address wellbeing in all young people from Foundation up to University. Yoga can help with exam stress, behavioural, emotional and social regulation, ASD, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Dear Mrs Bertram

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for your time last Friday. It was fabulous to see such a cross-section of pupils clearly getting so much from your Yoga session. I think I told you about the quote that I picked up on at the end of the session from a Sixth Former - music to our ears. The Yoga session that you ran was both relaxing and fun and has certainly made a number of pupils aware of a new and exciting way of relaxing.

Thank you so very much.
